愛知県常滑市で作られる常滑焼急須。
常滑焼急須は炻器(せっき)と呼ばれ、陶器と磁器の中間的な性質を持つ焼き物です。
炻器で作られた急須の特徴は、吸水性はほとんどありませんがお茶の雑味をほどよく吸着して、お茶のまろやかさを際立たせるため美味しくいただけることです。

こちらは急須は常滑焼急須の名工、磯部輝之氏による作品です。
磯部氏の作品の特徴は底面が薄く手に持つと軽くて非常に持ちやすい点と、注ぎ口が絶妙なかたちに作られているためお茶をいれたときのキレが良く液垂れを全くしない点です。

Tokoname ware Kyusu made in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.
Tokoname ware Kyusu is called stoneware and is a pottery that has intermediate properties between pottery and porcelain.
The characteristic of Kyusu made with stoneware is that it has almost no water absorption, but it absorbs the miscellaneous taste of tea moderately and makes the mellowness of tea stand out, so it is delicious.

This is a work by Teruyuki Isobe, a master craftsman of Tokoname Kyusu.
The features of Mr. Isobe's work are that the bottom is thin and it is light and very easy to hold when held in the hand, and that the spout is made in an exquisite shape so that it is sharp when making tea and does not drip at all. is.
